This news is a bit old, but still noteworthy since I missed it when it was fresh: Peter Blanck, a leading scholar in the disability law field and in law and psychology, has left the University of Iowa for a University Professorship at Syracuse University, with an appointment in the College of Law, among other units.  That’s a big catch for Syracuse, and continues the noticeable exodus of senior faculty from Iowa over the last decade (which includes Robert Clinton and Michael Saks to Arizona State, James Anaya to Arizona, and Randall Thomas to Vanderbilt, among others).  On the other hand, some of the best-known faculty at Iowa (like Herbert Hovenkamp, Steven Burton, and Adrienne Wing) remain.
