Christine Hurt (corporate law), currently Assistant Professor of Law at Marquette University, has accepted a tenure-track offer from the law school at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. I don’t usually announce junior lateral moves, but Professor Hurt is a UT Law grad whom I had the pleasure of advising when she first sought teaching jobs a few years ago and, in addition, she is better-known than most junior faculty thanks to her contributions to a well-known business law blog. Her appointment continues the aggressive lateral recruitment efforts of Illinois during the tenure of Dean Heidi Hurd.
