Harvard Law Dean Kagan Reported an Early Favorite to Succeed Larry Summers as Harvard President

So claims this story.  (The story implies the Arts & Sciences at Harvard needs to be "shaken up," but I know of no evidence suggesting that is the case.  Unlike Harvard Law School, which had a history of ferocious appointments battles and lack of tenure standards, Arts & Sciences as a whole at Harvard has not had those problems [though particular departments may have].) 

The rumor mill also mentions Anne-Marie Slaughter, former Harvard Law School faculty member, and now Dean of the Woodrow Wilson School at Princeton University.  Whether any of this has any basis in fact is another matter…
