Ronald J. Mann, one of the leading scholars in commercial law of his generation, at Columbia Law School has accepted a senior offer to return to the law faculty at the University of Texas at Austin, where he taught prior to moving to Columbia. (Mann may not return full-time until 2010-11.) That's a big coup for Texas, and comes on the heels of two lateral hires from Northwestern earlier this season.
