Three New Professorial Fellows at Aberdeen’s Northern Institute of Philosophy

Geu Named Dean of South Dakota
Professor Thomas Geu of the University of South Dakota School of Law has been named the school's new dean. Geu holds a JD from the University of Nebraska and joined the school's faculty in 1990.

Only one philosophy PhD student wins Newcombe Fellowship for 2013-14
The winner is Nathaniel Sharadin (North Carolina) for his project "Understanding Reasons." I can't recall the last time only one philosophy graduate student received a Newcombe. Past lists of winners can be found here (and follow the links).
