Jones from Harvard to Oklahoma
Russell ("Rusty") Jones (ancient philosophy), previously Associate Professor of Philosophy at Harvard University has accepted appointment as Associate Professor of Philosophy (with tenure) at the University of Oklahoma, Norman (his alma mater). A big catch for Oklahoma!

Animal rights activist and scholar Gary Francione to take up half-time appointment at Lincoln in the UK
Gary Francione, a law professor at Rutgers University and a well-known theorist defending the rights of non-human animals, will take up a half-time professorial post in philosophy at the University of Lincoln where, along with philosopher Daniel Came at Lincoln, they will establish an animal ethics center.
