Stephan Hartmann shares news of the project:
Rudolf Carnap Digital (RCD) is a long-term international research project dedicated to the comprehensive digital edition of the complete works of Rudolf Carnap (1891–1970), one of the central figures of twentieth-century philosophy and logical empiricism. Led by Hannes Leitgeb and Stephan Hartmann (LMU Munich) together with Dr. Eckhart Arnold (Bavarian Academy of Sciences and Humanities), the project runs for 25 years under the German Academies’ Programme. RCD will produce the first complete scholarly edition of Carnap’s oeuvre, covering both his published writings and an extensive, largely inaccessible archive: over 100,000 manuscript pages, seven decades of diaries, and nearly 10,000 letters. These materials will be made available through three interconnected outputs: a full facsimile archive, a digital critical edition, and a bilingual study edition, all published open access.
