ICE killing of protester Renee Good in Minneapolis (UPDATED)

It’s easy enough to find the videos of this horrible event. The ICE officer who fired the fatal shots is Jonathan Ross. It is quite clear he was not firing in self-defense. What seems to me to have transpired is that he was “firing for failure to comply with an order,” which isn’t lawful. But police generally react very badly to failures of compliance, and Ms. Good was told to get out of her car, and instead she drove off. That is when the other agent, Mr. Ross, shot her. It sure looks like an unlawful killing, and one can only hope there are legal consequences for it. (One of the awful ironies here is that after Trump’s election, Ms. Good and her partner left the U.S. for Canada, but then, at the partner’s urging, returned to Minneapolis.)

UPDATE: The latest video makes even clearer that this was murder.
