And they should, given that they are badly treated by USNews.com. The fatal problem, of course, with HeinOnLine rankngs is that they only record citations to articles in the Hein database that are cited by articles in the Hein database, which is to say that a huge amount of important legal scholarship vanishes as a result. That being said, Berkeley is clearly one of the two best public law schools in the United States, along with Virginia (which is de facto private, arguably). Michigan, Texas, and UCLA are the other top public law schools in the U.S.
