Mark Murphy (philosophy of law, ethics, philosophy of religion), a longtime member of the Department of Philosophy at Georgetown University, has accepted an endowed chair in the philosophy department at the University of Notre Dame, where he earned his Ph.D. Among other things, Murphy is the most sophisticated and interesting philosopher of law working in natural law theory, and I’m looking forward to his participation in my advanced legal philosophy seminar next year where we will discuss some of his work.
