For amusement, I looked at the CVs of the 16 candidates who listed “Jurisprudence” as one of their preferred subjects. Of these, I would say two were qualified to teach legal philosophy, and four might be. It’s a shame that so many candidates use “Jurisprudence” so loosely. There is an actual body of knowledge that jurisprudence candidates need to have, and many of these folks clearly do not have it.
