Ned Block turns down Harvard

Ned Block, a leading figure in the philosophy of mind currently at New York University (and even more distinguished, of course, as a member of the PGR Advisory Board!), has turned down the senior offer from Harvard. That’s a setback for Harvard, which has plans to try to replenish its strengths in what is sometimes called the “core” areas of metaphysics, epistemology, philosophy of language, and philosophy of mind.
