Kerry Picks Edwards as Running-Mate

Story here. This is a great relief for those deeply concerned about ousting the current criminals in Washington (last night, the media talk was that Kerry would choose the utterly dreary Gephardt, a man who makes Kerry look exciting). Edwards, unlike Kerry, knows how to campaign and to talk to people. For earlier posts on Edwards (who would have been my preference for the Democratic nomination), see here and here. Now they have to get Edwards “out front” on every issue except “security,” and confine Kerry to hugging veterans in front of the camera.

UPDATE: The enemies of humanity at the Republican National Committee were kind enough to compile this useful information about John Edwards (see specially the stuff on his voting record and rating by “liberal” groups). Good confirmation that for a Senator from the South, he has been exceptionally progressive. The most amusing part, of course, is the suggestion that he is “unaccomplished.” Consider: Edwards came from a working-class family, had no special breaks in life, yet went to college and law school, and became a skilled and successful attorney. Now contrast this with the current alleged President: he had every break in life, yet couldn’t do anything successfully or even competently (he even bankrupted Texas, before departing). Don’t these RNC goons have any idea how ridiculous this looks?
