White from UC Irvine Back to Utah

(MOVING TO FRONT from Dec. 29 for the benefit of those who may have missed it during the holiday period)

Nicholas White, a leading scholar of ancient philosophy who is currently Professor of Philosophy at the University of California at Irvine, is moving back to the University of Utah as Presidential Professor of Philosophy, effective July 1, 2007.  White taught for many years at the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor, before moving to Utah in 1994, and then moving on to Irvine in 2000.  (Utah is certainly a department we will need to include in the 2008 PGR surveys, since the Department has made a number of interesting appointments in recent years.)
