Ludlow from Michigan to Toronto

Philosopher of language Peter Ludlow at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor has accepted a senior offer from the Department of Philosophy at the University of Toronto.  This is the latest in a (successful) effort by the Toronto Department to strengthen its presence in areas like philosophy of language and mind, metaphysics, and philosophical logic; other recent lateral recruitments include co-bloggers Benj Hellie and Jessica Wilson (from Cornell and Michigan, respectively), Evan Thompson from York/Toronto, Byeong Yi from Minnesota, Diana Raffman from Ohio State, and Mohan Matthen from British Columbia.

Michigan, I should note, is at risk on one other senior faculty member this year; prospective students should inquire with the Department.
