Van Fraassen from Princeton to San Francisco State Univ.

Bas van Fraassen (philosophy of science and physics) will finish his phased retirement at Princeton University at the end of the 2007-08 academic year and then take up a tenured post in the Department of Philosophy at San Francisco State University.  SFSU has also appointed, to a tenure-stream position, Isabelle Peschard, a philosopher of science at the University of Twente in the Netherlands.  These appointments will certainly make SFSU an appealing choice for terminal MA students interested in philosophy of science.
