Friday Poem: “Reading Sabines in the Parking Lot”

Reading Sabines in the Parking Lot

And looking up as you go by
I take you in
To see if there abides within
A dirty woman
One who laughs
Spirit with a glint
Wit pointed as a pin

I do this out of reverie
Boredom’s affectation

And vanishing
You have no hint
Of who you’ll come to be
Now that you belong to me
