Columbia University law professor Timothy Wu, an expert on issues related to net neutrality, has been named a senior advisor to the Federal Trade Commission. He'll be consulting on consumer issues regarding the Internet and mobile phone markets. Wu will be taking a leave of absence from Columbia.
