Arizona State’s PhD Program in Philosophy in Limbo

Several readers have informed me that applicants to the PhD program have been notified that the program may be discontinued, though they will continue to offer a terminal MA.   ASU was always listed among the top terminal MA programs, when that was all they offered, and they will be so listed again in the event the PhD is officially discontinued.   ASU is offering to refund the application fee to PhD students, the correct thing to do under the circumstances.
