now this.  Locusts can't be far behind.  And no doubt Pat Robertson (or Rick Perry!) will weigh in soon to explain it all.

(I was a youngster in Manhattan during Hurricane Agnes in 1972, which was the most direct hurricane 'hit' on NYC previously–I can still remember some of the drama, though none of it was as worrisome as the forecasts now circulating.)
