Somewhat lighter blogging the rest of the month…

…for reasons noted here, though there will be usually be one or two items each day.  (For those curious, the advertisers this month were notified in advance and the advertising rates were discounted accordingly!)  And there will be a guest-blogger for roughly the last week of August, whom I will announce in about a week.
