North, Sider from Cornell to Rutgers

Jill North (philosophy of physics) and Ted Sider (metaphysics), both professors at Cornell, have accepted the tenured offers from Rutgers University, New Brunswick.  As noted earlier, several Cornell faculty were being pursued by top ten departments, including North and Sider (as well as Karen Bennett, who turned down the MIT offer).  This move, which postdates obviously the PGR surveys, would likely push Rutgers past Princeton in the overall rankings, and drop Cornell down two or three spots as well.

(Thanks to Derk Pereboom for letting me know yesterday about this.  At his request, I held off posting about this until Professors North and Sider had a chance to communicate with their colleagues.)
