Dawn of a new era

I now have an iPhone (I even learned, thanks to Alex Guerrero and Patricia Greenspan on FB, that it's not spelled "I-Phone").  I realize I am the last member of the bourgeois professoriate to acquire one; indeed, I am the last person in my family.  I pledge not to post to the blog or to twitter from my iPhone.  But I may now have to retreat to a cloistered place for a few days to figure how to use it.
