Michael Cholbi (ethics, applied ethics), Professor of Philosophy at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, will become Professor of Philosophy at the University of Edinburgh, effective Jaunary 2020.  Shannon Vallor, currently Professor of Philosophy at Santa Clara University, will take up a new Chair in the Ethics of Data and Artificial Intelligence at the Edinburgh Futures Institute at the University of Edinburgh.
