Close-minded intolerance on campus is largely a feature of elite U.S. colleges…

…and their well-to-do students, and not what goes on at most universities in the country.  Although I've made this point over the years, and while it's a good thing that the problem isn't widespread, that it exists at elite universities, which produce disproportionate numbers of ruling elites, is a bad thing.   Of course, none of this is as bad a thing as, inter alia, the crytpo-fascism of large swaths of the Republican Party; the continuing immiseration of the vast majority in the U.S.; the risk of nuclear war due to the mishandling of the Ukraine situation; etc. etc.
