Ismael from Columbia to Johns Hopkins

Jenann Ismael (philosophy of physics, metaphysics, cognitive science), Professor of Philosophy at Columbia University, has accepted a senior offer from the Department of Philosophy at Johns Hopkins University, where she will begin this fall.  That's a major appointment for Hopkins, which ought to push the program into the overall U.S. top 25, as well as making the program an attractive choice in philosophy of physics (Ismael and Sean Carroll join other Hopkins faculty in this area).
