Alyssa Ney (metaphysics, philosophy of science and physics, philoophy of mind), Professor of Philosophy at the University of California at Davis, has accepted the Chair in Metaphysics at LMU Munich, starting July 1, 2024.  This will solidify LMU Munich's position as the strongest "analytic" (and formal philosophy) department on the European Continent, and by a wide margin.
