The blog started 21 years ago today

What I wrote on the 10th anniversary is perhaps worth reading.  In the first ten years, the blog averaged 2.3 million unique visits per year; the blog still averages 3 million unique visits per year, notwithstanding the summer hiatuses of recent years.  Thanks, as always, for reading.

ADDENDUM:  A follower on Twitter posted the following:  "i started reading in maybe 2008 as an undergrad at a small commuter school with 1-2 phil faculty. the blog and PGR is how i learned about the professional aspects of philosophy, where to apply for phd etc. – i think it may have been how i found out PhDs were funded and i could go."
