  1. Somehow I never connected Spirit, Jo Jo Gunne, and Jay Ferguson. I was working in a record store shortly after Jay Ferguson's first hit charted. Accordingly, I was not disposed to like it. (One can only sell so many Boston albums before one wants to jump off a bridge.) But with the benefit of many years of hindsight, I can't say that it's all that bad, and it even resembles another artist from the Asylum stable whose work I have enjoyed for many years, Andrew Gold. Guitarist here is Joe Walsh!
