I think your readers might find some of the recent episodes of Prosthetic Gods interesting: they touch on questions that many academics are grappling with: AI and the future of writing, AI and the future of higher ed, and some more philosophical debates such as the merits (or lack thereof) of longtermism, as well as the interplay between tech and religion.

Broadly – the podcast is structured as a series of debates about the ethics of emerging technology between myself (a tech skeptic) and my colleague, J Hughes (very much a progressive tech optimist), with some guest appearances sprinkled in.

The conversations don’t presuppose a lot of prior knowledge, and we have started hearing from colleagues who are assigning episodes of the podcast to classes on the philosophy of techology /tech policy.
