“Payment Works” is awful

I’ve had to use it three times now for reimbursements from otherwise serious universities; I was horrified to discover UChicago makes people use it as well. The people who designed this should be in jailed for reckless waste of tens of thousands of hours of academic time (this is hyperbole, for those keeping track–in fact, their imcompetence is not a crime). It is confusing, with a difficult to use interface, and information requirements that are often irrelevant for academics seeking reimbursements.

Question for readers: are there alternatives that can be recommended? I’m going to lobby at least my university to use a different provider. Suggestions welcome!
