Kant Scholar Kuehn from Marburg to Boston Univ.

The Kant scholar Manfred Kuehn at the University of Marburg (and, before that, Purdue University) has accepted a senior offer from Boston University, to start this fall. Kuehn, in effect, replaces Henry Allison, who is moving from BU to a part-time post at the University of California at Davis this fall.

In addition to his work on Kant, Kuehn has also done work on the Scottish Enlightenment (Reid, Smith, etc.), an area where BU (with Charles Griswold and Knud Haakonssen) already enjoys a leadership position.
