Wayne Martin, a scholar of German Idealism and phenomenology at the University of California at San Diego, who is also editor of the journal Inquiry, has accepted appointment as Reader in Philosophy at the University of Essex, where he joins a strong group in post-Kantian German and French philosophy of the 19th- and 20th-centuries, including Mark Sacks and Beatrice Han-Pile, among others. His appointment will also certainly strengthen the Essex Department’s interesting AHRB-funded project on "Transcendental Philosophy and Naturalism."
