Sad News in the Legal Academy

Last week, was an unusually sad week in the law schools.  The law professoriate lost two of its members.  As Tim Zinnecker reported here, Brian Bromberger – the outgoing dean at Loyola-New Orleans – passed away on Thursday.  He was 72.  On Friday, Professor Don Marshall of the University of Minnesota died after hitting his head in his home.  He was 79.

Update: There is more sad news.  Jamie Grodsky, a 54 year old professor on the George Washington University law faculty passed away from illness on May 22.
