Keele University Considering Closure of Its Philosophy Department!

There is a facebook page in support here.  As Peter Kail (Oxford) writes:

Keele was founded in 1949 by the philosopher A D Lindsay, an advocate of education for the working classes, and who thought of Keele as the 'people's university'. The University claims its current mission is 'o be recognised as the UK’s leading example of an open, integrated intellectual community.'

I studied for my first degree in Classics and Philosophy, where I was taught by, among others, Jonathan Dancy, GAJ Rogers, Ian Rumfitt and David McNaughton. Anthony Flew, Andre Gallois and Richard Swinburne also taught there.

UPDATE:  Keele's Centre for Professional Ethics is also under attack.
