Once Peter Capatano–the Times editor that all the philosophers I know praise for his editorial help–turns things over to Jerry, who knows what the future may hold, for the Times philosophy blog and for Jerry? (Dear Peter, I know you read this blog, so please understand that everyone thinks you need to cut your pal Simon loose. He's a congenial clown, but not a serious, or even quasi-serious, philosopher. Seriously, ask around.)
