Via Søren Brogaard (the philosopher Berit's brother) comes this amusing item:
A philosopher is waiting in line at the gate to Heaven, so Saint Peter can tell her whether she will go to Heaven or Hell. The wait is 3 hours long. So, she gets frustrated and goes to the front of the line and asks if she can speak to God. God comes out and asks how he can help her. She says, "The line is so long, could I have a little sneak-peak at what Hell is like?". God replies, "Sure, you can. Second door on the left." She enters. There she sees stressed-out philosophers typing fast on their computers, sweat dripping down their foreheads, deadlines being missed. She walks out and says to God. "Oh, no. Hopefully, I am not going there. Could I have a little sneak-peak at Heaven?" "Sure," God replies, "Second door on the right". She enters. There she sees stressed-out philosophers typing fast on their computers, sweat dripping down their foreheads, deadlines being missed. She walks out and says to God. "I don't know if I can do either. I am not even sure I see the difference. Is there any difference?" God replies: "Sure there is. In Heaven the philosophers get published."
