…at least within the "analytic" tradition after WWII. In addition to the philosophers Godfrey-Smith mentions (like J.J.C. Smart and David Armstrong), Australia has sent a huge number of undergraduate students for PhD education in the U.S. and England, who then embarked on successful academic careers both abroad and back home (examples, just off the top of my head, would include David Chalmers, Rae Langton, Ken Gemes, John Tasioulas, as well as Peter Godfrey-Smith of course!)
My former colleagues at another university in Middle East have also been moved to online teaching indefinitely, with the students…
