PGR 2021 Preview: Most Improved U.S. Departments, 2006-2021

Here, below the fold, are the U.S. programs that have moved up at least ten spots since the 2006 PGR:


Yale University was 16th in 2006, and is now 5th in 2021.

City University of New York Graduate Center was 23rd in 2006, and is now 12th in 2021.

Washington University, St. Louis was 39th in 2006, and is now 25th in 2021 (it was even higher in 2017, but suffered some net losses recently).

University of Connecticut, Storrs was 48th in 2006, and is now 33rd in 2021.

Northwestern University was outside the top 50 in 2006, and is now 38th (it was higher in 2017, but suffered several losses since then).
