In dead of night, University of Hong Kong removes “Pillar of Shame” statue…

commemorating the Tiananmen Square massacre.  The University's official statement effectively acknowledges that the University removed it because of the Beijing-imposed laws that criminalize dissent.

This is the latest in a series of incidents that indicate Hong Kong is being crushed by the authoritarians in Beijing.
